YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US  VIRTUALLY AT THE GALA AWARDS DINNER !

We have the highlights of this evening on video which will be available soon.

 

The Gala Awards Dinner is how we close the weekend's events at the Green Lifestyle Film Festival.

This is the time to meet, mingle and dance with the Filmmakers, Award Presenters, our Eco -Celebrities, musicians, chefs, GLFF Team Members and  Executive Board at a very elegant and uplifting black tie event.

Time: Sunday from 6:00 to 11:00 pm

The 2010 Gala Awards Dinner was held downstairs at the historic building for the Wilshire Christian Church at the NE corner of Wilshire Blvd and Normandie( see address and parking info on the Locations Page of this website)

 

Our Vibrant, absolutely scrumptious, not to be forgotten Eco-Fabulous Dinner was catered by Serenity Foods, Coconut Bliss and the very popular Au Lac Restaurant in Orange County.

 DJ Lush, aka Ryan Jesena,is the next big thing. Nurtured by LA's best underground DJs, he has developed his own unique genre-bending style and energetic sets that have propelled him to the top of electronica scene in Los Angeles. Curating tunes from a playlist of house, electro, dub, downtempo, and breaks, has taken him to play in Coachella, Burning Man Arts Festival, Elysium Festival, Lake Balboa Music Experience, Bass Station, Space Island, 16Bit & Beyond, LA Decompression, and in various other venues from San Francisco to San Diego.

 

 

Our theme song, SONG FORTHE OCEAN, was sung by Kristin Hoffmann who wrote this very evocative song.


 

Jovonnie

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Singer/Songwriter Jovonnie's voice has been described as soulful, sensual, hypnotic and powerful. Influenced by Phyllis Hyman, Chaka Khan, Maysa Leek, amongst others, Jovonnie is currently heating up the R&B/ Jazz scene with performances most recently in London at the Soul Weekender and venues such as Inland Empire Jazz Festival, Long Beach Jazz Festival, San Diego Jazz Festival, North Carolina Soulfest, Aqua Lounge, Monsoon, Lucy Florence, Fanti-Sea Yacht Club, Sickle Cell fundraiser, Yacht Club-Marina Del Rey to name a few.

Her performances have brought down the house and gained critical acclaim while accompanied by some of L.A.'s best musicians with long resumes. Jovonnie's has completed her self entitled CD with independent label Jadar records.  Jadar Records released her latest single “Was She Worth It”; the single has been heating up the airwaves and is the number one requested song in regions across the nation.  If you've heard Jovonnie perform, you already know she's an unmistakably dynamic performer with extraordinary range, technique and taste. If you've yet to hear her, you are in for a moving experience.
